Sherrel is having cooking classes for the kids, their mothers, and teachers from Sunday Club. The classes are from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday and Wednesday. The classes cover cleanliness in the kitchen, preparing the food, and enjoying eating the food together.
This week’s classes are preparing Zucchini bread. Before we started cooking we had a discussion and watched a video on germs in the kitchen.
Sherrel had everyone involved with the grating of the Zucchini, measuring ingredients, mixing and getting it ready for the oven. After the bread was baked we all sat around the table and enjoyed the Zucchini bread with our tea.
Next week we are going to take on the American hamburger. This is actually a big project. We will buy the meat and grind it ourselves at the classes. This will be a new adventure for everyone at the class.
