Bicycle Trip
End of the summer season was marked with a big bicycle trip. Our team consisted of 7 adults and 11 teenagers of whom 15 were on the bikes and three in support vehicle. The trip lasted for 7 days of which 5 days we spent on the bikes and two at the place of our destination.
Every evening we stopped by a lake or a river, cooked food on a fireplace, worshiped God, and slept in the tents.
During our trip we had a chance to visit landscape park that was built at the former garbage dump and a youth service of our church friends.
Our destination was a beautiful canyon, where we spent two days playing games, swimming and fellowshipping.
Bike trip that long is not only fun but also hard. Altogether, we rode around 260 miles in 5 days. It is like a test of who you really are. Through hardships of sleeping in tents and riding long distances we bonded with each other and learned to value every team member. On the trip God worked on our characters, touched our hearts, and taught us how to work as a team.
Once, we even had guests at our campsite from a local church. We praised God, and had good time fellowshipping around the “table”.
Also, we prayed for towns and cities that we passed on our way. We started and ended every day with worship and prayer. God is faithful and He blessed us with a good weather and a good time. We praise God and thank Him for everything He does for us!
‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40
