The Latest News

Greetings prayer partners and supporters,

As Vitalik & Marina are in the midst of summer ministry in Ukraine I thought it would be good to cover all that is going on in Ukraine in prayer.

Here is a list of prayer needs.
• Camps for kids and youth. Please pray that all would have eyes to see and ears to hear what God has for them!!!!
• The BIG BIKE TRIP the end of August. Looks like there will be over 20 riders. Pray for safety, unity and that ALL will be drawn to a deeper walk with Jesus!!!!
• Please pray that a settlement can finally be reach in Vitalik’s accident that happened almost a year ago.
• Please pray that the land purchase goes well and that all funds needed for the purchase will be raised. We are excited about the dream to have a building dedicated to ministering to the children and their families on a daily basis.
• Please pray for favor from the Ukraine government as Vitalik and Marina work on their documents to become Ukrainian citizens. This has been a long, hard process. They moved from Russia to Ukraine over 20 years ago.
• Please pray for Vitalik and Marina's son Phillip (18) who is working side by side in the Sunday club, bike rides and camps.
• Last but not least remember Daniil who is living and working in Newport, Oregon this summer. He is working to earn money to help pay for his senior year university tuition.

Thanks for all your prayers and support.

Vitalik, Marina and I want to announce a major project today. Through much prayer the decision to build a multi-purpose building in the village Plesets`ke to help meet the needs of the children and their families living there. This is a huge project. We believe God through His people will make all this possible.
There will be several stages of development to complete the project, The Light.
Purchase the property:
The first step is to purchase the land. Budget $25,000. See attached presentation prepared by Vitalik.
Design -Develop - Build:
As we work on the design of the multi-purpose building we will need to drill a well for water, put in a septic system, and bring utilities to the property (gas and electricity).
Fund raising:
We are trusting God for ALL the funds necessary to complete this project. Thank you in advance for your prayers and support!!!!
Please pray how you can help. All money received, designated for this project, will go 100% to the project.
Please enjoy Vitalik’s presentation. (Click on the green button below.)
God bless,
Rich Richmond

Sherrel is having cooking classes for the kids, their mothers, and teachers from Sunday Club. The classes are from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday and Wednesday. The classes cover cleanliness in the kitchen, preparing the food, and enjoying eating the food together.
This week’s classes are preparing Zucchini bread.  Before we started cooking we had a discussion and watched a video on germs in the kitchen.
Sherrel had everyone involved with the grating of the Zucchini, measuring ingredients, mixing and getting it ready for the oven.  After the bread was baked we all sat around the table and enjoyed the Zucchini bread with our tea.
Next week we are going to take on the American hamburger.  This is actually a big project.  We will buy the meat and grind it ourselves at the classes.  This will be a new adventure for everyone at the class.

Until next week God bless,
Rich
