Summer 2006 Kerch
Dear Friends and Supporters of The Least of These,
Before
I
start
the
team
report
I
would
like
to
share
part
of
an
email
I
received
from
Jacquie
Hoekstra,
“as
I
read
the
Word
this
morning
a
Scripture
popped
out
at
me
and
I
feel
it
was
for
you.
It
is,
Psalm
126:5,
“They
that
sow
in
tears
shall
reap
in
joy."
Verse
6
is
a
poetic
repeat,
"He
that
goeth
forth
and
weepeth,
bearing
precious
seed,
shall
doubtless
come
again
with
rejoicing,
bringing
his
sheaves
with
him."
As
I
shared
these
thoughts
with
the
team,
it
became
obvious
that
God
was
showing
us
his
promises
and
how
faithful he was going to be to ALL THE WORK WE DO FOR THE KINGDOM IN UKRAINE.
We
had
21
team
members
made
up
of
local
church
members,
seminary
and
Bible
school
students,
Ukrainian
staff
and
Americans.
We
had
2
weeks
of
programs
at
Camp
Cosmos,
the
orphanage
kindergarten
and
Camp
MaMa’.
We
also
had
3
days
of
programs
at
Distky
Dome
2
and
an
incredible
3-day
Kid’s
crusade
with
Pastor
Sergey
Haminko.
The
last
day
there
were
approximate
150
kids
there. All together I would say we ministered to between 500-600 kids.
For those of you who support the scholarship program, we gave 13 scholarships to team members for the Kerch outreaches.
Please
take
time
to
read
the
two
testimonies
from
the
Kerch
outreaches,
one
from
Geralyn
Keller
and
one
from
Emily
McLean.
Geralyn
and
her
husband,
Bruce,
adopted
a
young
girl
from
the
Kerch
Internot
last
August.
It
was
incredible
to
watch
the
children
build
relationships
with
Geralyn
knowing
that
she
was
Alena’s
new
mama.
Emily’s
team
report
is
as
a
team
member
at
Camp
MaMa’.
Camp
MaMa’
is
a
very
PRIMITIVE
camp
for
the
orphan
children
on
the
Azov
Sea,
about
20
Kilometers
from
Kerch.
This
is
only
the
second
year
that
we
have
been
able
to
have
a
team
stay
at
Camp
MaMa’.
A
year
ago,
there
was
an
incredible
spiritual
breakthrough
for
MaMa’
had
been
very
dark
and
almost
impossible
to
minister
at.
The
team
this
year
continued
to
build
on
the
many
victories from a year ago.
Thank you for all your prayers and I sincerely request that you continue to pray for THE LEAST OF THESE.
In His service,
Rich
Geralyn Keller
Emily McLean
