Benches for the summer camp
On Saturday after kids club our youth group had
an unusual meeting. We gathered in a ministry
center in order to build wooden benches for
summer camp and other use. The time goes fast
and summer is gradually approaching us so we
started preparing some props.
‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least
of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25:40
The Least of These
All the boys divided in to groups to make three
wooden benches. Under supervision of Vitaliy
boys learned how to work with wood, nails,
polish the boards, and paint them. Leaders and
youth worked side by side to accomplish a
common goal. It was a good time of bonding and
learning from each other. As we finished the
work we had a good feeling that we did those
benches together.
After we finished benches and used up all paint we had sandwiches with tea and cookies. We talked about
what we learned today, about the process, and how it felt working with each other. We plan to continue
our preparation for summer camp and result of this day brings us hope that we can make much more for
children together with our faithful youth group!
