Bike trip 2021 After one year break we got back on our bikes and went on to explore Ukraine. For the first time we time in our history we crossed Dnipro rived and rode around Chernihiv region. Surprisingly, majority of time roads were in good shape. Only occasionally we were shaking, bouncing, or crawling through sand and mud. Nature of Chernihiv region is amazing! However, people are leaving to work and live in big cities. Many of the villages that we passed were in state of decay with houses standing empty for many years. This year bike trip was easier than usual. We had a cook Natasha who cooked food not on open fire but on gas-burner. Our technical team: Maryna, Natasha, and Maksym usually prepared food and set up tents before cyclists arrived at camp site. Also, we had our usual night duty only two days out of eight. Even electric train ride was easy and not stressful. Therefore, for us bike trip was not exhausting as it was in previous years. However, everything cannot go smoothly forever. On the day as we were approaching our final destination (Blue lakes), where we were supposed to spend two days, whole sky turned gray and it started to rain. We had to cook food and set up camp in rain and it did not stop for the whole time we were there. Thus, we rented a house where we dried all of our clothes and tents. This rain we will surely remember for a long time! We want to thank God for keeping us safe during the whole trip, Vova and Katya, Vitaliy and Marina for organizing the bike trip, Natasha for cooking food, and Maksym for setting up tents! Finally, we want to thank everyone who went on this trip, it would not have as fun as it was without you: Vova, Yura, Maksym, Phillip, Yura, Natasha, Tanya, Maryna and Vitaliy, Katya and Vova, Bogdana and Daniil. P.S. Next year we are planning something more extreme…
