Camp 2022. Day 1

God gave us an opportunity to do a children’s camp in the
turbulent summer of 2022! I was truly against all the odds and
obstacles on our way. We want to share with you our experience day
by day and praise God for His provision and control!
First day:
First day of the camp is always hard and the sky was threatening
us with some heavy rain. We had 60 children, 15 per one team with
four teams in total. In the morning, we introduced children to our
camp anthem and camp verse: “Do not be overcome by evil, but
overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21. Also, we had a really great
skit with some outstanding costumes.
During the day, we were knitting camouflage nets with the kids.
Some children did camouflage while others, mostly little ones,
enjoyed doing colorful yarns. Our story of the day was how Jesus
fought against the evil of the people who turned holy temple in to a
market place. We learned from Him to stand against evil and injustice
even if we are fighting alone versus the whole evil system.
First day we were just getting to know the children: where they are from and what they like to do. We
could still feel the ice between them and us but we were just getting started.
