Update on our church situation! At 5 am on 24th of February we all woke up scarred and shocked. Russian missiles that fell one mile away from Plesetske village awakened majority of us. In the hurry of the first day of war, most part of Light church family decided to leave to western Ukraine. Around 20 people using their private vehicles departed in direction of the campsite in Carpathian Mountains where we had our youth camp last year. Their trip was long and hard. There were many cars moving in that direction but they made it to the point of destination. Until now, they are living there in a safety. Other part of the church family decided to stay. Some of us are in Plesetske, couple have moved to their relatives near Fastiv. One of our church members is serving now in Armed Forces of Ukraine. We are all alive and doing well but life has changed dramatically. Usual church meetings, works days and routine are so much different now. We gather for church meetings and regular prayers at our current locations and usually do it online so that others could join us. We are separated by hundred miles but we are united in the Spirit. We have mobilized our prayer battle. Most of us take turns praying for Ukraine day and night. During this cruel time, we try to help each other and our soldiers with whatever we can. We have given away toothbrushes and hoodies for our soldiers, made Molotov cocktails but the strongest weapon against the evil is our prayer and faith. Today Ukraine is fighting back death, destruction and lie in face of Russian army and their government. Ukrainian army and Ukrainian people are fighting for every inch of their land. Enemy has not occupied any major city. Their surreal plans have been destroyed in face of reality. Russian soldiers are demoralized. They have problems with logistics, they have outdated army meals ready to eat, and they suffer hard losses. We assign all these victories to the great power of our Lord! He is the one who is control. Please continue to pray for our victory, for peace, and that evil spirits that stand behind this bloody, deceitful system would be destroyed by the might of Lord Jesus Christ! We wish that Ukraine would be delivered from this evil as well as Russia and Belarus.
