Day of the village
‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40
The Least of These
Each year in September people in Plesetske celebrate day of the village, where we are involved with different activities for kids and adults. With the beginning of fall, weather immediately got unusually cold for September. The same day last year we wore T-shirts with shorts and today we had to wear warm clothes in order not to get cold. This year our activities included free lemonades with cookies, games, crafts, and face paint. Our games included corn hole and an interesting game of our friends from nearby Borova town called “Floorball”, that got youth and teenagers interested. Also, many children did crafts with us. Some of them even made several of them. Kids loved face paint as well as all other activities. You could see kittens, butterflies, balloons, and even “Angry Birds” on their faces. Apart from our activities free food, trampoline, and entertainment program were presented during celebration.
