Easter celebration
Last Sunday “Light” church
and friends with all Ukraine
celebrated Easter!!! Easter in
USA is over already but in
Ukraine it is celebrated
according to old Julian
calendar. We gathered to
honor and remind ourselves
of what Jesus has done for
us. Worship songs and
message talked about his
death and resurrection. At
the end of the service we all
took communion.
‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least
of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Matthew 25:40
The Least of These
As planned before, after church we immediately
left to have a picnic in the forest. The forecast
showed that on Sunday it would rain but we
believed and prayed that God would give us a
good weather to celebrate together. It rained a
little bit in the morning but all the time that we
spent in the forest weather was amazingly
sunny!
Almost 30 of us with kids and youth played
games, talked, and rested. Each somehow
contributed to fill our table with tasty food. It
was a good day to run away from daily chores
for some time and spend it with brothers and
sisters. Next day weather turned ugly and rainy
so God blessed us with great church service,
communion, and sunny weather!
