‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’Matthew 25:40
The Least of These
Last week schools in Ukraine went on a spring break so many students were free all day long for a week. We wanted to use this time efficiently and do something with the youth. Two years ago, some of us already had experience-playing paintball so we decided to do it again. Unfortunately, not everybody who wanted was able to go with us. Nevertheless, we had eight people, which made two teams with four people in each. For half of us it was a completely new experience! In the beginning, we hesitated to run and risk because of fear of being hit. Our facemasks would fog up after a while and we had to clean them as well as the paint on our uniforms. However, after couple of games, which were no longer than four minutes, we got used to the paintball guns, uniform, and running. We started to enjoy the game and make strategies how to overpower the opponent team. Some of us even had to buy extra paintballs because they got so excited that used up all of their ammunition. By the end, everybody was excited about the game and satisfied with the time that we spent together. At home, some of us discovered bruises from paintballs but the boys never complained them! Although, paintball is not a cheap sport we are looking forward to playing it together next year!P.S. Watch a video from our game down below:
