Let us be honest, how many of you dreamed of organizing a pajama party for friends in childhood where you would eat together, watch movie, share secrets, dreams or stay up till midnight playing games? Light church and some of our Sunday school leaders decided to help teen girls fulfill this dream. Me (who dreamed of such parties but could not have one because I grew up in different time and in different society) and other adult girls made everything to create a comfortable and safe atmosphere for teen girls. At our meetings, we learn how to cook tasty food and share our family secrets while doing thing together. We not only share our secrets and dreams but also learn how to dream, set short and long-term goals. In addition, we learn how to respect other’s dream and their personal borders. Through games, we learn how to work in a team, trust each other and express yourself. Also, we have a place for art through methods of art-therapy and of course what kind of girl party it is without crazy dances! However, our parties would not happen without girls. First, they are open to us – their adult girlfriends, and are ready not only to open up but also always to learn something new together. Second, they come to our meetings with hurry and interest. Of course, we thank their parents who entrust their children to us. We do not stop at what we achieved and we have many pajama parties ahead of us. We have so many ideas and so much to talk about, dream, learn, play, dance and many questions that need to be answered together with the girls!
