Sometimes church family needs to have a retreat or get away and this Sunday was a perfect day for it. In addition, Phillip’s birthday was a good reason to hang out together. After church service, everyone who wanted drove to a nearby river where we cooked food, played volleyball and sang songs together. People fellowshipped and enjoyed Sunday afternoon rest. One of the high points of the evening was a spontaneous wrestling by the river. Almost all boys took part in this game where each of them tried to stay on top of the cliff and avoid being thrown down. It lasted for about forty minutes and captured everyone’s attention. Eventually, no one was injured. Furthermore, everyone seemed to enjoy it a lot! After congratulating Phillip and having a late dinner, those who still had some energy left played chase and seek in the dark. This game is already traditional to our retreats so we could not leave without playing it. At last, we packed up, set in the cars and drove home feeling exhausted but satisfied!
