Team Retreat
After incredible summer camp, our team went on a 2 day retreat. Destination was a flooded quarry with unusually beautiful water. This meant that we would sleep 2 nights in the tents and cook food on the fire.
The water of a magic color beckoned to jump and swim to the opposite bank. It was never boring, someone cooked food, someone was swimming, someone was playing volleyball, badminton or board games. After breakfast, everyone gathered to praise God and read Bible. On the second night, the bravest ones played hide and seek in the dark.
However, the very last trial was on our last day. The cloud that was circling around and scaring us finally transformed in to rain. Some of us using raincoats and sleeping pads were trying to save bonfire and our lunch.
Probably it was the most delicious pilaf and fried potatoes ever eaten in nature. At noon, the rain stopped and we gathered all of our belongings and were ready to get on the bus.
‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40
