Team retreat
‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least
of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

The Least of These
June 9-11 we had a team retreat near Kornyn lake. We have a good
tradition in our church to go for retreat with tents, cook food on
open fire, and play active games in a forest. For several years
already our team and church serves children of Plesetske and
through these years, we have learned to work together with
efficiency. However, we are still in a process of learning how to rest
together.
For example, we took a walk to see a quarry nearby our lake and
each of us got so excited about the place and travelling that for
half hour we had to walk around and yell each other’s names to
find at least somebody.
Besides such funny situations, we had many sincere and bonding
moments. Such as fellowshipping in the evening by the bonfire,
and having Sunday church service under the rain mist in raincoats.
No matter what, we still had church service and probably, it was
good that the sun was not out. We had more warm moments
during our retreat: swimming in a boat and playing games in the
night, in the forest. All of these memories we will keep in our
hearts and will be waiting for next team retreat that will happen in
a year.
Big thank you to everybody, who contributed to the great
atmosphere of acceptance and love. We are looking forward for
the next time!!
