Thanksgiving day

The feast of harvest, or as today it is called Thanksgiving, is celebrated by Christian churches in all corners of the world. Hearts of all people are filled with gratitude to the Lord for the fact that he cares about them. However, there is also spiritual side of this celebration. God is not limited to material. There is something more valuable than material and it is our soul. God sent His only son Jesus to win our souls from death and now we need to examine our lives and see if we are following His footsteps.

In Ukraine we celebrate Thanksgiving in October. Thus, on October 14 in the "Light" church, this great event took place. We had many guests from nearby towns and local churches. We glorified and thanked God for blessing us with material and spiritual gifts. We prayed for our country, army and welcomed present military men. Afterwards, we enjoyed conversations, food and contests. Everybody was able to make photos by beautifully decorated photo stand.

Thank you very much to everyone who participated in organizing and hosting this holiday. Big thanks to God for the wonderful village of Plesetske. We believe that what is happening in our village is a part of great plan of God.
