Last Sunday the “Light” church had friends come over from a nearby town. This was our first meeting so it was interesting to get to know each other. Their church already exists and serves in their community for more than one hundred years. We talked and got to know more about each other, our churches and ministries. They blessed us with couple very lyrical and beautiful songs. Some of them happened to be Gideon brothers. Therefore, they talked more about this mission during the church service. Their mission is distributing New Testaments around the world in two hundred countries. It was interesting to listen how this movement started in USA more than one hundred years ago and grew to its modern size. Just imagine, they have distributed more than two billion New Testaments around the world already! Interestingly, they have been in our village five years ago and distributed God’s word among school kids. Maybe, because of their ministry some of young people, today, in the village of Plesetske, know God as their Lord and Savior.
