Visiting missionary from Papua New Guinea
‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40
The Least of These
Recently we had a missionary Irina from Papua New Guinea visit us and share about ministry of her family and what God is doing in that area. She explained the culture of Papuans, their cuisine, infrastructure and traditions. After her presentation, life in Ukraine seems so easy and our roads are perfect! Honestly, what they do in those conditions is an amazing work for the kingdom of God. People in Papua New Guinea and all over the world are in need of knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. It happened that on that day we had a special family Sunday. Both children and adults listened to amazing stories of Irina and her ministry, watched photos and videos of Papua New Guinea. In addition, we reminded kids of the topic of past month, which was “Faith”. They answered questions about what is true faith and what people think is faith but truly is just superstition. One little girl even said that if a black cat crosses the road in front of us we should not think that something bad will happen with us but hug the cat! Irina’s story was a great illustration to us and children of what true faith in God is in real life!
