Weekly activities (Wednesday, Thursday)
‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40
The Least of These
This summer God gave the “Light” church its new home! For us it truly became a second home, cozy, warm, always ready to serve tea with cookies. Almost every day something is going on here. On Sunday building looks like a beehive. We have many children and adults and each room is occupied with different activities. Often, after the church service we stay to fellowship, play board games and watch movies. We will tell you now what is going on in the church during the week. On Wednesday evening, we have men’s fellowship. Bible tells us that man is the head of his family. It is very important that this head would be healthy not only physically but also spiritually and emotionally. Therefore, brothers gather to pray, sing and talk about word of God. It is important for men to have time without women and talk about topics that are bothering them. On Thursday we have a handmade group. Right now we are learning how to work with plastic canvas. It is very interesting for children! We can do many different crafts with it, even pictures. During handmade groups children learn precision, attentiveness, not to give up when things go not the way they planned. We develop their creativity and while our hands are working we fellowship, laugh and joke. At the end, according to the “Light” church tradition we drink hot tea with cookies or jam. We have been dreaming about home for our church for a long time. Thus, today we are very thankful to God and people that made this dream possible. May God bless you hundred times more for your sincerity and offerings! More about our weekly activities will be in our following posts.
