A ministry targeting young people around the world, sharing the Love of God in Word and Deed.
Praise the Lord, all you nations. Praise him, all you people of the earth. Psalms 117:1 NLT Yes, we are praising the name of Jesus here in Ukraine. Besides the ministry to the children this summer has been a season of encouragement to our co-workers in Christ. From the families that came to visit us at the Ministry Center to the many people in Crimea that told Vitalik, Marina and Daniel “ you are a blessing and an encouragement to us. We needed to be loved.” The trip to Crimea Sherrel and I drove Vitalik, Marina and Daniel to Kiev so they could take the train to Simferopol, Crimea, Russia. Once in Simferopol they took a bus to Sevastopol. Then they went to visit two sisters whom we have supported for many years, who work in an orphanage secretly ministering to the children. The sisters were so blessed and talked for many hours. In Balaclava there was great fellowship with Alex and family. Back to Simferopol to visit other co-workers in Christ. Daniel stayed and went on a 3 day hike in the mountains with a Tatar ministry while Vitalik and Marina continued on to Belogorsk. In Belogorsk the “TEAM” was formed. Many people wanted to be on the team, some even had to be promised next trip. The “TEAM” was able to minister at a men’s sanatorium, kindergartens and kids clubs. Many lives were touched by the love of God. “Who Is God??” Friday, July 4th, I talked to Vitalik just after the first morning program. What he shared with me is an amazing story. The “TEAM” was ministering in a kindergarten this morning. As they shared about God’s love with songs, skits and Bible stories one of the children raised his hand and asked “Who is God?” Vitalik looked over at the teacher, who amazingly gave permission to answer this child’s amazing question. This opened the door for the Gospel to be shared with all of the children. What an incredible moment when this child asked the most important question of life, “Who is God?” Only God could have orchestrated such a moment. We will continually praise the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He has continuously poured out his favor thought this ministry to the children and adults in Crimea. In Kerch a new team was formed that ministered to the children. Old friends were visited and encouraged. Vitalik and family traveled back to Simferopol by bus and then the train to Kiev. We want to thank everyone who prayed for this time in Crimea. Without your prayers and God’s favor, this incredible time of ministry would not have been possible. The Good News of Jesus Christ was preached, lives were changed and strength given to the team members to endure these difficult conditions. At the Ministry Center For years we have wanted to have children’s programs in Plesetska, the village where the Ministry Center is located but we have never had time. This summer, with the hard work and determination of Marina there will be children’s programs in Plesetska. The plan is to have a 3 day VBS-like outreach joining together Baptist and Pentecostal churches in Plesetska and the help of church members from Vitalik’s church in Kiev. Denominational walls are being broken down and the Kingdom of God is being shared with children and adults alike in Plesetska. We are rejoicing and thankful for all that God has done here in Ukraine. We are also so thankful for all of your prayers and financial support. You are all truly a part of this ministry. Thank you and God bless,
