Wow, what a great time we have had!!!! God has blessed us all with wonderful fellowship.
Sherrel and I picked Vitalik up at the Portland airport on Thursday, February 19th. Over the next few days we visited friends, had a great dinner with the Retherfords, Vitalik even helped at the church work day, and preached on Sunday.  After church Mark, Martin, Cory and Vitalik went for a hike followed by dinner with Charles and Debbie.
Wednesday, Feb. 25th
, we drove to Eagle Point making a stop to see Maggie. Wednesday night we were invited to have programs at Eagle Point Community Bible Church for the Awanas. It was an incredible time of sharing, praying and fellowship. Some of the children even brought flowers to Vitalik.
Vitalik’s Spring Trip 2015
Thursday, Feb. 26th
at 7AM, Vitalik had a live interview with Bill Meyer, KMED 1440 Morning Talk Show. Great interview.  At 9AM Vitalik was invited to do an assembly at Grace Christian School. The school has about 350 students. This was an amazing time of sharing God’s love and also sharing what is happening in Ukraine. What an honor it was to be able to have this time with the children and staff!!!! Thank you, Anne, for making this program possible.
Friday, Feb. 27th at 8AM, Vitalik and I did a live TV interview on The Dove with live radio simulcast. At 10:30 AM we were able to have a program with the 4/5th grade class at Lutheran Christian School in Eagle Point. After lunch Bob Wilcox drove Vitalik and I to Sun River for the Eagle Point Community Bible Church’s men’s retreat. We had a wonderful time meeting and talking with the men. Vitalik and I were also able to meet with the church leadership and discuss how the church could become more involved in meeting the needs of Ukraine. We drove back to Eagle point Saturday afternoon.
Sunday morning Vitalik shared God’s word at Eagle Point Christian Bible Church. I want to thank everyone for their warm and loving care they gave all of us, especially Bob & Lucille Wilcox who provided us housing and fed us well.  It is a true blessing to stay at your home.
Immediately after church in Eagle Point we drove to San Francisco for the 6 PM service at the Russian Gospel Temple. Vitalik and I both shared God’s word. I was so blessed by the warm welcome we received. That evening Sherrel, Vitalik and I started a journey that we will never forget. The family of Maxim & Tanya, who just moved from Kiev, treated us like royalty. Mike & Oksana Khomyak, whom we had never met, shared their beautiful home with us. Their oldest son, Oleg, gave up his bedroom for Vitalik, and their daughter, Tanya, gave up her bedroom for Sherrel and I. Mike cooked breakfast for us Monday morning then we were off to see San Francisco. Palace of Art, Golden Gate Bridge and, of course, the cable cars. :))) That evening we were treated to a Ukrainian feast!!! Maxim’s cousin,   Zoryana and her husband Tolik, invited us to their home where Maxim’s family had prepared a feast. We also met Maxim’s aunt, Nadia, who had also help prepare “the feast” and her husband, Fedir.  Blessed!!!
We drove back to Newport on Tuesday. Saturday Vitalik was able to attend the men’s breakfast at Toledo Foursquare Church.
On Sunday we attended Toledo Foursquare Church. We were blessed by Pastor Charles Adam’s message. After church Vitalik, Sherrel and I had a wonderful fish taco lunch at Chris & Angie Retherford’s home. Yes, Christian and Harper entertained us. Sunday night Vitalik and I shared God’s word and love at the Potter’s House Church in Newport. We had a wonderful time with the children (and adults too). After church we had a great time of fellowship with Pastor Eric, Jenn and three of their boys.
Tuesday, Vitalik flew to Dallas, Texas where he will be a part of Samaritan’s Purse meetings and then fly home to Ukraine on March 15th.
We have been so blessed by the out pouring of love for Vitalik, Sherrel and I from God’s people. Thank you!!!!
Sherrel and I plan to leave for Ukraine on April 2nd. I will be sending out pray needs for this trip later this month.
