Summer 2011 Rivers of Joy
The Team
Vitalik, Marina, Daniel & Phillip, Rufshan and his wife Sasha, two sisters from Kerch – Lena and Ksusha,
Vitaly from the Kiev Region, Tema from Kiev, Vanya from Kiev (Vanya graduated from the Internot in Kerch),
Misha from Belogorsk Region, Lori from Colorado, Sherrel and Rich.
First of all I would like to thank everyone for their prayer and financial support that made this camp possible.  This was the first time that we have had a camp at River of Joy.  David Hallowell, missionary and owner of River of Joy, was gracious enough to invite us to have a camp for the Tartar children.  The camp is located in the mountain area of the Belogorsk Region.
The camp is a tent camp.  All 44 of the children slept in tents.  The entire team also slept in tents except for Sherrel and I.  David had built a small cabin that was very nice and we were the very first guest to occupy that cabin.  What a blessing.
We hired 3 cooks to feed the 60+ of us. What an incredible job they did.  Marina was the head cook with Tanya and Sasha as helpers.  This is their new stove!!
Crafts and Games
Programs and Skits
The camp had many challenges; wild and crazy kids, spiritual battles and many rainy days.  We serve such an incredibly faithful God!  Most of the Tatar children either came to the Lord or re-dedicated themselves to the Lord.
The team also had its challenges and again God was so faithful.  God changed both the lives of the children and the team members.  The children had a great time enjoying the Bible programs each morning, hikes in the mountains, crafts, and many, many games.
The fellowship between the team members and the children developed many friendships. These friendships grew each day.  By the last day, most of the children did not want to leave.  We have received calls from many of the parents thanking The Least of These for the great camp.
God continues to pour out his favor and we are so thankful for His many blessings.
A ministry targeting young people around the world, sharing the Love of God in Word and Deed.
